Description
Here you have a chance to buy a rare example of a Sansui amplifier. It is a model AU-307 which was made only for the Japanese market (the international model was AU-317) but from which I removed the transformer whose primary winding was only for Japanese 100 V AC (so to work on your mains voltage, you should get a step down transformer) and I installed the original Sansui transformer for AU 317, so now this model AU 307 works without problems on our 230V AC voltage and it is still a real Sansui (so now, you don't need a step-down transformer).
At the same time, I did a few preventive things, cleaned the old thermal grease from the BIAS transistor, from the output transistors and from the two-part aluminum heatsink, and applied new thermal grease. I also replaced the fusible resistors with Vishy metal film resistors (it is known that on this model, these fusible resistors can change resistance values), and finally I adjusted the DC Offset and BIAS current.
As you can see from the pictures, the device comes with its corresponding "rack" handles, and with User Manual (Japanese).

It is visually in very good condition, both the exterior and the interior. Otherwise, this series of Sansui amplifiers (AU317 - AU307) has a beautiful sound, and it is a big step forward compared to the AU217 or AU117, even though they look the same... The amplifier worked at my place for a couple of hours without any problems, so I put it in the box, but note that I am selling the amplifier AS-IS, without warranty, because it is amplifier about 40 years old, so once when it would be shipped to you, I can’t accept any return or refund, sorry…
It will be shipped double-boxed.
